Why no card payments?
A deliberate decision — not a limitation.
The research peptide sector has a history of payment processor issues — Stripe, PayPal and similar providers have terminated accounts in this category due to the nature of the products, regardless of compliance. Rather than risk disruption to our customers' orders, we made the decision from the start to use open banking exclusively. Pay by Bank is more secure, faster, and more transparent than card payments — and it keeps Velyx operating reliably without interruption.

Is Pay by Bank safe?
Yes. Pay by Bank is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under the Payment Services Regulations 2017. It uses the same bank-level security as your online banking and never shares your card or account credentials with us.
Which banks are supported?
All major UK banks are supported including Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, NatWest, Santander, Halifax, Nationwide, Monzo, Starling and more. You'll be shown a list of supported banks at checkout.
How does the payment process work?
At checkout, select Pay by Bank and choose your bank from the list. You'll be redirected to your bank's secure login page to authorise the payment. Once authorised, you're returned to Velyx and your order is confirmed immediately.
What if I have a problem with my payment?
Contact us at hello@velyx.co.uk with your order reference and we'll resolve any payment issues promptly. We aim to respond within one working day.
