Everything you need to know about Velyx Research Ltd and our products. Can't find an answer? Email us at hello@velyx.co.uk.
Velyx Research Ltd is a UK-registered research-grade peptide supplier based in Buckinghamshire, England. We supply BPC-157, TB-500, and GHK-Cu — independently verified to >99% purity — strictly for laboratory research and development purposes. Our Company Registration Number is 03697395, verifiable on Companies House.
Our positioning is built on one principle: transparency. Every batch we sell is independently verified by a third-party laboratory — not our own testing, not our supplier's testing — with Certificates of Analysis issued directly to Velyx Research Ltd. We publish these COAs so researchers can verify exactly what they are receiving before and after purchase.
We make no health claims. We operate within the research-use-only framework because that is the legally and scientifically correct position.

Yes. Research peptides including BPC-157, TB-500, and GHK-Cu are legal to purchase, possess, and supply in the UK for legitimate research purposes. They are not classified as controlled substances under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, nor are they scheduled under the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016.
The legal framework that governs their supply is the Medicines Act 1968 and the Human Medicines Regulations 2012. A substance only becomes a regulated medicinal product if it is marketed for therapeutic, diagnostic, or prophylactic use in humans. Research peptides supplied with research-use-only labelling, no therapeutic claims, and correct documentation sit within a legally recognised framework. Velyx Research Ltd operates strictly within this framework.
No licence is required to purchase research peptides in the UK for legitimate research purposes. You must be 18 or over and confirm at checkout that you understand the research-use-only nature of all products.
No. All products sold by Velyx Research Ltd are strictly for in-vitro laboratory research use only. They are not approved for human or animal consumption, administration, diagnosis, treatment, or any therapeutic purpose. By purchasing from Velyx you confirm this understanding. Any use outside this scope is the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
It means our products are sold exclusively for use in scientific research and are not intended for human consumption, self-administration, or use as a medical treatment. Research use only is a legal classification, not merely a disclaimer — it defines the product's intended purpose and governs how it can be marketed, labelled, and sold in the UK.
Velyx currently supplies three research-grade peptide compounds: BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) in 5mg lyophilised vials, TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4) in 5mg lyophilised vials, and GHK-Cu (Copper Peptide) in 50mg lyophilised vials. These are available as individual vials, cycle packs, and research bundles.
All Velyx products are independently verified to >99% purity. This is confirmed by third-party Certificate of Analysis documentation which is published on our Quality Centre page and linked from every product page.
All products are supplied as lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder in sealed research-grade vials. Lyophilisation maximises stability and shelf life during storage and transit.
Lyophilised peptide powder has a shelf life of 12-24 months when stored correctly. Store at -20°C for long-term storage, or 2-8°C for short-term storage of up to 4 weeks. Keep away from light and moisture. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a document issued by an independent testing laboratory that confirms the identity, purity, and quality of a compound. It contains the test results for a specific batch — including purity percentage, impurity profile, appearance, solubility, and endotoxin data. A COA is the primary document researchers use to verify that the product they have received matches the specification.
All Velyx batches are independently tested by accredited third-party laboratories. We do not rely on supplier-issued COAs or in-house testing. COAs are issued directly to Velyx Research Ltd and published in our Quality Centre before stock is offered for sale.
All current batch COAs are available in our Quality Centre, accessible from the navigation menu. Each COA is linked directly from the relevant product page. COAs are batch-specific — each new batch receives its own independent test before going on sale.
In an unregulated market, the quality of research peptides varies significantly between suppliers — and even between batches from the same supplier. Independent analysis of over 450 samples of BPC-157 across 64 vendors found purity ranging from 82% to 100%, and 8% of all peptide samples contained measurable endotoxin levels. Independent testing by an accredited third-party laboratory is the only way to verify that the product you receive contains what it claims. At Velyx, testing is always independent.

Upon receipt, store lyophilised peptide vials at -20°C for long-term storage, or at 2-8°C if you intend to use them within 4 weeks. Keep away from light and moisture. Do not reconstitute until ready to use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles as this can degrade product quality.
Currently Velyx ships within the United Kingdom only. International shipping is not available at this time.
We publish research guides for each compound in our Research & Science section, covering molecular profile, mechanism of action, preclinical evidence, and current research status. We do not provide dosage guidance, administration protocols, or any guidance related to human use. For experimental design, consult the published literature and your institutional protocols.
General reconstitution guidance for lyophilised peptide powders is available in our Preparation & Storage guide. This covers solvent selection, concentration calculations, and storage of reconstituted solutions for research purposes. We do not provide guidance on human administration.
Most standard workplace drug tests do not screen for research peptides. However, sports anti-doping tests conducted by WADA-accredited laboratories do screen for specific peptides and peptide hormones in the context of performance enhancement. Velyx does not provide advice on drug testing outcomes.
