Product Description

KPV is a very small peptide — just three amino acids (lysine, proline, valine) — taken from a specific fragment of alpha-MSH, a larger natural hormone. Isolating just this fragment lets researchers study its anti-inflammatory activity without the pigmentation effects that come with the full alpha-MSH molecule. Because it's such a small, well-defined sequence, it's straightforward to study consistently across cell cultures and animal models.

In lab studies, KPV appears to act on NF-κB, a transcription factor that regulates inflammatory signalling in cells. It has been studied in cell and animal models used to research gut and skin inflammation, where reported effects include reduced markers of inflammatory activity without complete suppression of the pathway.
